VE Day Celebrations at Apple Orchard School

On the 8th May, we came together as a community to celebrate VE Day with a wonderful tea party! The entire Apple Orchard family joined in, and we were honoured to welcome our local veterans, who made a grand entrance in this vintage Air Portable Land Rover.

With classic wartime tunes setting the scene, we enjoyed a delicious spread of freshly baked scones with double cream and strawberries, Victoria sponge cakes, sandwiches, and sausage rolls.

The afternoon was full of laughter, games, and even a bit of dancing! 
And that proud young lad on the Land Rover? He’s one of our own, an Army Cadet, representing the spirit of service and remembrance.
